Grossglockner High Alpine Road

Imperial adventure world at the foot of Austria's highest mountain

The Grossglockner High-Alpine Road at the foot of Austria’s highest mountain is the most beautiful scenic road in Europe – maybe even in the whole world.

Its 48 kilometres take you to the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park and an elevation of 2,571 meters.

The destination for your enjoyable ride over the Alps is the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe visitors’ centre above the Pasterze glacier, the longest in the Eastern Alps.
