The Liechtenstein Gorge

Since as early as 1875 the adventurous looking ravine called Liechtensteinklamm has been fascinating man as a unique natural sight. It was then that it was provided with devices for walking due to a donation of the Prince of Liechtenstein. At some points the ravine is so narrow that the sky can be observed as a small strip only. The roaring waterfalls and the torrential waters have been making their way for centuries deeper and deeper into the ravine. All these incompa- rable impressions provide this miracle of nature with a touch of adventure, special event and romantic atmosphere. The footpaths and foot bridges are checked regularly and can be walked on in every weather. Thus, everybody can visit the Liechtensteinklamm ravine with a lenght of 1,5 km.
