Built in 1500, it has served Emperor Maximilian I and the Fugger family as a hunting retreat. Beautifully furnished and renovated in the Renaissance style the castle has been owned by the Enzenberg family since 1848. Emperors, Knights and other former owners of Tratzberg lead you “personally” through the castle by a fascinating Audio-Guide tour introducing you to its Renaissance rooms, originally furnished Gothic chambers and the Great Hall, famous for its unique wall paintings depicting the Habsburg family tree.
